Cisco TimeCardView for Unified Communications 560 Now Available! |
|
TimeCardView is a time and attendance system for Cisco Unity Express users on Cisco Unified IP phones connected to Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express (Cisco Unified CME) or Cisco Unified Communications Manager. The application allows you to enter and manage time-card data from different user profiles. Cisco TimeCardView also tracks employee hours worked and provides reports to managers showing who is in the office, with the ability to import hours directly to QuickBooks.
The Employee View allows you to enter, review, and send time-card hours through a Cisco Unified IP Phone. With Supervisor View, you can monitor, review, and approve time cards through a Cisco Unified IP Phone or a web-based interface. The Specialist View allows administrators to use a web-based interface to import and export data, customize reports, and perform other administrative tasks. An optional QuickBooks integration allows them to move data efficiently between applications.

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Cisco may be getting into the Apple application market, targeting business collaboration on iPhones and iPads. Later this year, Cisco will launch an app for iPhones and iPads, dubbed Cisco Quad. At Cisco's Enterprise 2.0 conference in Boston, the networking industry leader will showcase Quad, which is described as an app that allows business users to search a wide array of content. Cisco will also showcase Mobile Quad applications for Apple's iPad and iPhone devices.
These apps "will enable desk-less employees to remain connected and engaged in interactions with their colleagues around the globe," explained Cisco in a statement released late last week. Successful early trials of the Quad technology have already been completed, according to Cisco. The technology is rumored to be available on a limited basis during the first quarter of the company's fiscal 2011.

Cisco announces the end-of-sale and end-of life dates for the Cisco® Unified Communications Manager Version 6.1. The last day to order the affected product(s) is September 3, 2010. Customers with active service contracts will continue to receive support from the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) as shown in the Cisco EoL bulletin. For customers with active and paid service and support contracts, support will be available until the termination date of the contract, even if this date exceeds the Last Date of Support shown in the Cisco EoL Bulletin.
